Investigators need tools
to work with; the key one being an Investigation Kit. You
can build a solid investigation kit using this list.
Investigation Kit Contents Make this
kit accessible to all investigators by storing it in the Safety
Office or First Aid Room. You are going to want to keep
it secured or the contents will go missing over time.
Ideally, every investigator should have
some investigation materials immediately available to initiate
an investigation. We have developed a small Investigation
Kit easily stored in a briefcase, desk drawer, vehicle
glove box or plant first aid kits. As the investigation
unfolds other members of the investigation team can retrieve the
larger kit and bring it to the scene if needed.

Investigation Basics!
The heart of our Investigation Kit is
the Evidence Collection Guide. The Guide will walk you through
the steps of what evidence needs to be collected and asks you
to complete a written listing of all accident scene evidence.
Experience with these Kits have proven that even untrained persons
can successfully capture all critical accident scene evidence
by following the Guide.
The difference between a successful investigation and a failure
often lies with how well evidence is secured and protected.
This Kit will help ensure the success of all your investigations!
